Matt Bateman as St Matthew

St Matthew was a tax collector in his first incarnation. Because of his occupation, people refused to eat with him. He became one of the 12 apostles and wrote the first ever gospel. His proselytism took him apparently to Ethiopia.
His feast day is on the 21st September.

St Matthew is the one who said 'do not worry about tomorrow, tomorrow will take care of itself'.

Matt might well agree with this sound principle.

However Matt is no tax collector, he is a kind of knob twiddler at flat-e.

He is also a barbecue king and would be most upset if people refused to eat with him.
